My night off

Okay, most of you must be wondering what does the title mean.. Night off? It simply means my off days after my night shift. I was on night shift for 4 nights and having my off days now since yesterday. 3 days seem long but actually it's not. 1 day needed to readjust my biological clock. So which means left me 2 days. Anyway, am having another extra off day because of Raya Haji in December.

It was an interesting week that I've got. I cleaned a dead body with 4 of my friends before the mortuary people came to collect her. I touched a dead body for the first time. It was a bit horrifying but.. it's all in the mind. I remember what was my thought when I cleaned her.. I was wondering where is she heading to after this. The reality of heaven and hell will be discovered by her by now and what was she feeling? Shocked? Regret? Glad? I don't know. It's a mystery to be discovered by every individual on their own.

I had the thought to go for a movie this afternoon.. but it was quite depressing when I couldn't think of who to call along with. There were few friends whom I thought of but I didn't ask. Gave myself too many reasons.. Anyway, ended up at home watching 6 chapters of Heroes Season 2, one hallmark movie, 2 episodes of wah lai toi drama series.. Gosh am feeling guilty now.. I was reminded of idolatory when I was in the bathroom. I'm sorry! Then I realized I have 5 hours of journal which I haven't write and some editting work to do. I will certainly drag my feet to complete them. (notice the bold letters)

I'm reading an interesting article by Rev. Kong Hee abt choosing the right partner. This is a small part of it which is so true..

Myth #1: True romantic love conquers all. Deep in our hearts, we all secretly like to believe that if we really love our partners enough, our marriage life would be a bliss. As long as I love my partner, it won’t matter if:

... he drinks heavily,
... she criticizes me all the time,
... I’m not really attracted to her outwardly,
... he doesn’t have a job for the last two years,
... she has a terrible temper and blows up all the time,
... he constantly flirts with other women,
... I want children and she doesn’t,
... he has a hard time telling me how he feels,
... she still hasn’t gotten over her ex- boyfriend,
... he is 30 years older than I am,
... we are different in our faith and beliefs.

Want the whole article? Let me know.. I can email to you.

The mind just don't want to think.
I think I run away from things very often. A coward am I? Hmm...

Realizing it is the first step of conquering it - that's what I believe in.
It takes courage but I will face it!
