Post mortem

i can't explain it... but it's really mind blowing to realize days passed so swiftly. just one week ago, i finished my set of night shift... looking forward to coming home and meeting my family. and i remember i didn't sleep much that day. after i was home, an hour later i was back in PJ area, at IKEA with mom and sis. today i am home, and my sister is married and staying with her new set of family members.

it was last night where i was so stressed up, as if it was my wedding dinner. i was running here and there for sis and bro-in-law; trying to rectify things which went wrong. i was instantly "vomiting out" a speech for my sister coz i lost her paper. i had to go up the stage and bleh whatever i can to fill in some gap. it was yesterday the tea ceremony.. it was yesterday my sister coloured my finger nails for me. it was yesterday i saw my sister woke up in her pyjamas and gave her a massage before she begins her busy wedding day.

it was two nights ago where sis and i do some last minute preparation before the wedding day. and she told me not to cry the next day, if not she will cry too. that night, i was thinking... my sister is really getting married. she is going step into another chapter of her life... and she will not be around at home as often as she was anymore. she is going to begin her own family. that night too, i couldn't sleep well.

the last 7 days on leave was worth it and truly memorable. i'm glad i took the leave. not forgetting the double rainbow we saw together as a family which got all of us so excited and wet.

i must say the chapter ended well.

i didn't know wedding can be this emotional. i mean... gosh, i am tearing each time i think of the empty room next door. i miss her presence, the crazy time spent together. wedding suppose to be a happy occasion but now i am experiencing the other side of it. i wonder how mum feels since i am already feeling this emotional. moreover, i've shifted out like 4 years ago?.. but still feel this way. or is it just me being the emotional val. sigh, reminded me when my sister left to Australia for her studies. (yah yah yah, i know, she is still in malaysia. it is not like she never comes back again.) but it is not the same. it is really not the same anymore...

i guess life is as such. no season will last, it keeps changing which makes us keep growing and striving.

i also understand now why chinese want to have sons rather than daughters in the olden times. *LOL*

i'm glad to have my family, my dearest and friends. i treasure them even more after this reflection... because season comes and goes. nothing can last forever in this life. it is a fact. "for things seen are temporary"

i love you! like what my sister said, "let's toast for love, friendship and happiness!"

to my beloved sister, i wish i could give a better speech yesterday. i think it was the best for that time but i didn't get to say the last part. i love you and i am so blessed to have you as my sister. i wish you agape love and a blessed marriage with God in the center. the Lord walks with you in this new chapter of your life and guide you in every crossroads you face. history shall not repeat itself.
